We want your visit to be as enjoyable as possible. Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with our policies to ensure a smooth experience.
Booking Your Appointment
We recommend booking in advance, especially for weekends and colour services. You can book online through Fresha 24/7, or call us during opening hours.
Please book a consultation if you're unsure which service you need, or if you're considering a significant change. Consultations are free and help us understand your hair goals.
When booking colour services, please allow adequate time. Colour corrections and balayage may require multiple appointments.
Arrival & Timing
Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your appointment time. This allows us to start promptly and give you the full time allocated for your service.
If you arrive late, we may need to shorten your service or reschedule to avoid inconveniencing other clients. We appreciate your understanding.
For new clients or complex services, please arrive 10-15 minutes early to complete a brief consultation form.
Cancellations & Changes
We understand that plans change. Please give us at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) or no-shows may result in a charge of 50% of the booked service price. This helps us manage our schedule fairly.
For colour services and extensive treatments, we kindly request 48 hours' notice due to the preparation involved.
Payment
We accept cash, debit cards, and all major credit cards. Contactless payment is available for your convenience.
Payment is due at the end of your appointment unless otherwise arranged. For wedding packages and extensive services, a deposit may be required.
Gift vouchers are available and make a lovely present. They can be purchased in salon or over the phone.
Children
Children are welcome at Salon in the Square. We offer a relaxed, friendly environment and our stylists are experienced with younger clients.
For children's appointments, we ask that a parent or guardian remains in the salon throughout the service.
We understand that little ones can be unpredictable! If your child becomes distressed, we can pause or reschedule the appointment at no charge.
Allergies & Sensitivities
Please inform us of any allergies, skin conditions, or sensitivities when booking and again upon arrival. Your safety is our priority.
Patch tests are required 48 hours before all colour services for new clients or those who haven't visited within 12 months. This is a simple, quick process.
If you have any concerns about products or techniques, please don't hesitate to ask. We're happy to discuss alternatives.
Product Recommendations
We only recommend products we truly believe will benefit your hair. There's never any pressure to purchase.
We stock professional ranges including Olaplex, Redken, NXT, and Osmo. Our team can advise on the best products for your hair type and concerns.
If a product doesn't suit you, please let us know within 14 days (unused) and we'll be happy to exchange it.
Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are available for any amount or specific services. They make a perfect present for loved ones.
Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and can be used for any service or product.
